Female Hormone Testing

Estrogen is the major female hormone that’s responsible for so much of what happens in the female body.

Ovaries produce estrogen and with it, the female body releases eggs. Estrogen is what makes a woman’s body… a woman’s body.

A woman’s curves, bone structure, skin and other qualities that make her different from a man is due mostly in part to estrogen.

Estrogen is made up of several hormones:

  • E1: Estrone – Weakest form and found in women who’ve gone through menopause
  • E2: Estradiol – Strongest form produced by ovaries and its known to cause problems with bleeding, fibroids and some cancer types
  • E3: Estriol – found after the body uses E2, most commonly found after pregnancy

But estrogen is not the only female hormone, there are many others. If a woman desires to get pregnant, she will need the production of several other hormones.

As a woman ages, it’s her hormone levels that will indicate that she’s officially nearing menopause as estrogen levels drop.

If you feel like your body is changing, let Test Smartly Labs help run some tests for you.
